Saturday 15th June, 7.30 p.m

Come and join this exciting performance of Captain Noah & His Floating Zoo by Flanders & Horowitz by Crowthorne Choral Society

This popular work opens with a splendid storm, above which God can be heard muttering about the irritations he finds with mankind. Following the Old Testament story, God then instructs Noah how to build the ark and select animals. In a profusion of fine solos and lively choruses we learn about the difficulty of living under hatches and the eventual drying-out of the world.

The rest of the evening features complimentary works :

They that go down to the sea in ships – Sumsion
As Torrents in Summer – Elgar
Give unto the Lord – Elgar
Dream ship – Labarr

Musical Director – Simon Williamson
Organ – George de Voil
Cellist – Beatrice Maier
